Photographer Alejandro Cartagena has captured the daily struggles of Mexican commuters in his “Carpoolers” photo series, taken from the air. Living and working in Monterrey, Mexico, Alejandro has captured the tired and weary faces of people commuting in and around the Mexican capital, highlighting the challenges and hardships faced by ordinary people in Mexico.

Most of the people in these photos seem to be exhausted and drained, possibly after a long day of work, and the luxury of not having to commute seems out of reach. Through his photography, Alejandro aims to underline the struggles of these commoners and shed light on their daily lives.
